A car was allegedly driven at more than 100km/h in a Mooroopna street after running several red lights early on Sunday, January 7.
Shepparton police First Constable Taylor Rixon said police first spotted the dark blue Holden Commodore as it turned from Watt Rd into McLennan St, Mooroopna about 3.40am.
He said the car, which did not have registration plates, then continued to drive fast while still in police sight through several red lights, before turning right into Echuca Rd.
It was then spotted by a witness turning left into MacIsaac Rd and Norton Dve.
The Commodore then lost control and crashed into the fence of a house in Norton Dve, before driving off again fast, First Constable Rixon said.
Police found the vehicle dumped in the old Coles car park on Echuca Rd, Mooroopna, at about 4.15am.
The vehicle was described as being extremely muddy.
Police are looking for anyone who saw the vehicle being driven erratically in Mooroopna around that time.
They would also like to hear from anyone who might have seen it in Mooroopna, Kialla or Shepparton in the days leading up to the incident.
Anyone with information should contact First Constable Rixon at Shepparton police on 5820 5777 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or crimestoppersvic.com.au
