A 33 year-old man is to appear in court for alleged possession of a prohibited drug.

Police allege to have found cannabis when searching the man after he was stopped in Fowler St, Deniliquin about 1.20am Saturday.

Warrant arrest

Police have arrested a 51 year-old man in relation to an outstanding warrant.

The man was arrested in Russell St, Deniliquin about 5.45pm Saturday.

The man was taken to Deniliquin Police Station, charged with the arrest warrant and will now appear at court.

Three men have been fined for failing to leave a licensed premises in Deniliquin when instructed.

Police were called to a Cressy St hotel about 10.30pm Saturday following requests from management.

Police spoke with two 22 year-old men and a 23 year-old man.

Each was then issued penalty notices for ‘excluded person fail to leave when required’.

One was also issued a penalty notice for ‘excluded person re-enter premises’.
