Candidates challenged on ‘Matters That Count’

Candidates have been asked to outline their positions on eight national matters the organisations consider crucial to the nation’s identity and future.

Those matters include action on climate change; a First Nations voice enshrined in the constitution; wage justice for women; stopping men's violence; affordable childcare for all families; affordable housing for older women; ending cruel treatment of asylum seekers; and integrity and accountability.

The candidates will then be invited to explain their views in a conversation with members of new and emerging communities during the Matters That Count event.
