At least 16 CFA units brought the blaze under control by 2pm, the spokesperson said, citing increased weather conditions from the day before.
Around 2.21pm on Friday, February 21, at least 13 CFA vehicles responded to a grass and scrub fire in Boosey.
A CFA spokesperson said crews arrived to find a grassfire in a paddock south of Powerline Road, moving in a south-westerly direction towards O'Dwyer Road.
More than a dozen vehicles from brigades across the district, including Yarroweyah and Tungamah, arrived on scene with air support.
The fire was running quickly due to wind and grew to about 12 hectares in size by about 3.10pm.
Air support unleashed a deluge as birds of prey hunted for their next meal.
