Blighty Public School started back at school in early February with a particularly warm beginning to the year, but it didn’t deter the new and returning students.
The tight-knit community at Blighty Public warmly welcomed a new cohort of Kindergarten students for the year, and jumped straight into some great activities.
Since returning, the students have already been involved in their small school swimming carnival at the Deni Pool, which took place on Tuesday, February 18.
Blighty Public will also join the other small schools when Healthy Harold comes to visit for Life Education Day.
Healthy Harold will make his way out to Conargo Public on Wednesday, March 26, where Mayrung, Bunnaloo and Blighty youngsters will all get to meet the nationally famous giraffe.
Starting at primary school is the beginning of a journey that has the potential to go a whole lifetime for some individuals.
It is one of the very first steps on the path of education, it forges and affords friendships, learning and growth.
The newest students will be given the best chance to do all of those things as they begin this exciting journey, guided by their peers in the older year groups.
