Students from Blighty Public School, Conargo Public School and Mayrung Public School had their eyes opened to the work local emergency service providers do through a series of demonstrations at Conargo Public school on Wednesday.

Members from the Deniliquin Police Service and NSW Rural Fire Service taught the primary school students lessons about road safety and fire safety.
They learned about how to stay safe, along with when and who to call in an emergency.
To add to the fun, students got to explore the vehicles and equipment they use too.
Students also got to learn from the Healthy Harold Life Education Van, and take in a show by educational performer Tony Bones as part of the Books to Life program.
