Local car lovers are encouraged to shine-up their pride and joy and head to the first monthly Benalla Cars and Coffee, in the Mitre 10 car park.
Organiser David Wigley has announced the first event will be on Sunday, February 16, from 8am to 11am.
He said he’d love to see local people bring their cars, but would also like to see anyone who would simply enjoy appreciating some automotive beauty.
“Along with the car display, (those who bring a vehicle) will be offered the option of taking their pride and joy on a run culminating in lunch at a local tourist destination,” David said.
“The first run will be around the silos of Goorambat, Devenish, St James and Tungamah.
“The Tungamah Hotel will be the lunch venue.”
The route will take drivers on an approximately 100km loop.
“Shannons Insurance will be offering a prize to the owner of the oldest car attending the display,” David said.
