The Benalla Young Sportsperson Trust continues to offer financial assistance to young people in the community to help them take part in sporting activities.
Recently it was able to donate $500 each to local basketballers Remi Nicholas and Milly Evans.
The pair will be undertaking the Bushrangers’ tour of the United States later this year.
BYSPT trustee Karen Edwards said helping district youngsters pursue their sporting goals was what it was all about.
"(It is) a pleasure to support these talented young players who have been involved in the North East Bushrangers this year,“ Ms Edwards said.
“The tour of the US is a little different to what we usually support, but what an amazing opportunity to support what sport does best — get you out in the world to have different experiences and meet new people.
“The trust thought supporting them would allow the girls to grow in so many ways.”
Benalla Rotary Club assisted BYSPT in raising the funds, which club president John Smythe said was a pleasure.
"Benalla Rotary is very pleased to help in the support of the trust as we have a real focus on supporting the young people of Benalla,“ he said.
