Benalla YMCA has finally reopened its doors for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic forced recreation centres to close.

From Monday, July 27, the centre is welcoming back its members and the public, with access to the gym, personal training and modified group fitness sessions available.
All swimming programs will remain out of operation for the time being, with the 25m pool currently being retiled.
In a post to Facebook, the centre said it was excited to re-open its doors.
“Our staff are ready to welcome you back and have been working around the clock to ensure our centre is safe,” the post read.

With social distancing limiting the number of people inside the centre, customers will need to book in for all activities and have their temperature checked on arrival, with bookings open four days in advance.
Changerooms and toilets are open, though showers and the kiosk will remain closed.
Memberships will remain suspended, with all activities on a pay-as-you-go system.
