Set in the late 1970s, the musical follows three working women, Violet, Doralee and Judy who must deal with an arrogant and misogynistic boss, Franklin Hart Jr, who exploits his employees while taking credit for their work.
After an accidental mix-up involving rat poison, the women end up holding Hart hostage and taking over the office and under their leadership, the workplace transforms.
Playing Violet is Wendy McLay, an experienced actor in the area and in her first role with the company.
Jacqui Creamer, a BTC favourite, plays Doralee and retuning to BTC is Monique Hillenaar who is taking on the role of Judy.
Another newcomer to BTC, but not new to performing on stage is Leigh Johnson, who is relishing the role of Hart.
The songs are written by Dolly Parton and the show is infused with a mix of country, pop and Broadway-style numbers.
The title song, 9 to 5, remains a showstopper and it begins and ends the show.
The production will be performed at the Benalla Town Hall over two weekends from June 27 to July 5.
This includes four evening performances and three matinées.
Tickets will be available from May, so start getting your friends and family together to come and have a fabulous time.
