The next one is just around the corner.
The Benalla Migrants Association will host a vibrant Chinese new year celebration on Saturday, February 15, at Benalla Town Hall from 5pm to 8pm.
BMA president, Punarji Gunaratne, said this wonderful event represents the culmination of many hours of volunteer efforts.
“I am looking forward to greeting the Benalla community with many festive wishes for the year to come,” Cr Gunaratne said.
This free event promises an evening of cultural festivities, including traditional festive foods, photo opportunities, music, and activities for all ages.
Kids under 12 are also welcome to submit entries to ahead of the event, for the colouring in competition.
First prize will be awarded a red packet with $88 inside, which is considered a lucky number in Chinese culture.

You can submit your kids' original art work at the Benalla Art Gallery or the Towerview Store in Coster St.
Entries can also be submitted the day of the event (Saturday, February 15) at Benalla Town Hall between 10am–12pm.
