Guided by John Boehm, the group undertook three unique treks, each showcasing the varied terrains and pathways of the region.
The initial walk led the group across a rolling trail on the grassy alpine plateau to Dickson’s Falls, where a vantage point offered breathtaking valley views.
After returning to their vehicles, they proceeded to the cathedral and hump parking area.
This relatively concise yet steep path passed the towering cathedral rock formation and led to the hump, which involved a quick rocky climb for those who dared to conquer the granite peak.
Mr Boehm said the crest treated them to a breathtaking panorama.
“A downhill return to the cars meant a welcome lunch break for walkers,” he said.
After lunch, the trekkers moved towards their final destination, the nearby Old Galleries.
“From the roadside car park, a 1km loop led them along a forest trail up to the rocky summit,” Mr Boehm said.
“(That provided) an opportunity to file through the amazing tall granite walls that resembles a gallery.”
The trekkers thanked Mr Boehm for leading them through three wonderful walks.
