Shepparton's Australia Day guest speaker Ann Peacock says she plans to talk about what it means to be Australian.
Queen's Gardens will be filled with Aussie flags this Sunday for the celebrations.
Ms Peacock is the daughter of formal Liberal leader Andrew Peacock and said she loved being an Australia Day ambassador.
“It's a time to reflect on our nation's past,” she said.
“We should also celebrate our place in the world and welcome new Australians.”
Ms Peacock is general manager of community and charity at Crown.
Her role acts as the face and voice of Crown, both to the public and to the businesspeople of Melbourne.
Head down to the Queen's Gardens for an 8.45 am start this Sunday, January 26 for a citizenship ceremony and Australia Day award presentations.
There will also be free food for brunch available, along with musical entertainment by Jessica Loraine and children’s activities.
