It will be open from January 29 to February 24 at Jacobsons Outlook.
With many of the works being created in Bologna, Italy, Mitchell’s exhibition is inspired by Italian architecture, blending historical influences with new ideas for future buildings.
On display will be a collection of framed works on paper and sculptural pieces, all exploring the influences of many forms of architecture.
Mitchell’s experiences living in Bologna between 2010 and 2015 add a unique perspective to his work, mixing European and Australian architectural styles.
Strathbogie Shire Mayor Claire Ewart-Kennedy said Mitchell’s exhibition was a chance to think about how buildings and spaces were designed.
“His work combines the past and the future, showing us how architecture can continue to evolve, and we are proud to present his exhibition in Nagambie,” Cr Ewart-Kennedy said.
Mitchell has exhibited his work in Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong and Bologna, and brings together the themes of space, design and the world around us in a meaningful and creative way.
