In Greater Shepparton, 68.6 per cent of responses to code one emergencies were under the state-wide target of less than 15 minutes, with the average response time being 14 minutes and 46 seconds.
This was an improvement on the previous quarter (October to December), which saw 66.8 per cent of code one emergencies responded to in under 15 minutes, with the average response time being 16 minutes and 23 seconds.
This comes as the number of first responses for Greater Shepparton decreased by 163 from the end-of-2022 quarter.
For Shepparton-Mooroopna, the percentage of average response times under 15 minutes has improved from 72.6 per cent to 78 per cent, with the average time of response being 13 minutes and 13 seconds, an improvement of two minutes and 18 seconds.
There was a decrease of 160 first responses in the Shepparton-Mooroopna area during the past three months.
The average code two response time for Greater Shepparton also improved by one minute and 26 seconds, sitting at 44 minutes and 51 seconds.
For Shepparton-Mooroopna, there was not much of an improvement in response times, but that also came with a 78-case increase in the number of people responded to.
The rate of response times under 15 minutes across Victoria has also improved.
Across the state, paramedics are responding to code one emergencies at an average time of 15 minutes and 20 seconds, an improvement of one minute and 24 seconds quarter on quarter.
The state-wide average target of 15 minutes for response times was met for 65.2 per cent of code one cases.
This is up from 60.2 per cent in the previous three months, with the state seeing less demand for emergency responses.
