Yarrawonga Aerodrome’s runway will be resealed with $138,463 from the Federal Government.
The upgrade is designed to improve safety and access at the aerodrome and allow for continued use for delivery of essential goods and services, aeromedical flights, general and recreational aviation.
Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Catherine King said the government was investing in safety and other upgrades at regional airports in Victoria, which provided critical access to emergency healthcare, commerce, industry, tourism and education.
“We know how vital regional airports are to (these communities) ensuring access to other towns, to markets, and to vital services,” Ms King said.
“That’s why we are investing in safety and other upgrades at regional airports across Victoria, to ensure they can continue to service communities for years to come.”
The upgrade has been funded under Round 4 of the Regional Airports Program.
