Jazz High Tea Tallarook will feature delicious snacks, hot drinks and smooth tunes by some of Australia's finest jazz performers from the Quiet Riot production company.
The event has been organised by the Tallarook Arts Society and secretary Carolyn Munckton believes the high tea will be an excellent opportunity to bring the community together.
“It’s a great way to relax, indulge and have some fun after the past two difficult COVID-19 years,” Ms Munckton said.
“The mechanics institute is a great venue for this event. The acoustics are excellent and the facilities (are) second to none in the Seymour district.
“We are very lucky to have such a great new hall in Tallarook that can be used in so many ways. This will be a memorable afternoon.
“Tickets are just $55 and include a glass of Box Grove Vineyard prosecco. It’s a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day, a hen’s afternoon or just a fun way to catch up with friends and family.”
Tallarook Arts Society will use the profits from the event to fund an artist-in-residence program for Goulburn Options.
“We are very pleased to be providing new opportunities for GO artists to explore new and different arts,” Ms Munckton said.
Goulburn Options chief executive Melinda Burgess was thrilled the program was being promoted.
“The artist-in-residence program will be a wonderful opportunity for our participants to learn new skills and approaches to their art,” she said.
“We are excited about the partnership and grateful for the support.”
Jazz High Tea Tallarook will be held at Tallarook Mechanics Institute on Saturday, May 7, from 3pm to 6pm. Cost is $55 per person and includes a glass of local sparkling wine.
