Retail and hospitality employers and workers can prepare themselves for a safe COVID-19 reopening thanks to a free online course offered by GOTAFE.
The three different Infection Control Skill Sets provides employers and workers with information on how they can safely reopen, focus on engaging with customers and manage the risk of COVID-19 infections across workplaces.
The completed training will allow staff to identify risks and how to correctly follow additional precautions to prevent the spread.
“As the Victorian economy prepares to reopen safely at full capacity, these new skill sets will provide businesses with skilled workers trained to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19,” GOTAFE chief executive Travis Heeney said.
“GOTAFE is proud to be assisting our communities by offering this training free for businesses and currently-employed individuals in the outlined priority areas.
“The skill set takes less than 30 hours to complete and is available online, where participants can work through the training at their own pace.”
