Amateur theatre lovers packed WestSide Performing Arts Centre in Mooroopna on Saturday night for the 46th annual Georgy Awards for excellence in theatre performance.

Awards in more than 30 categories were made with Best Play going to Mansfield Musical and Dramatic Society for its production of Black Adder Goes Forth and Best Musical scooped by Seymour Performers Workshop for Footloose.
Award winners and nominees came from across the Goulburn Valley including from Shepparton, Wangaratta, Seymour, Mansfield, Nathalia, Albury-Wodonga, Echuca and Kyabram.
Saturday night's audience was treated to a fun-filled and professionally-run night ably hosted by Britney Evans and Ivy Jensen from Echuca-Moama Theatre Company.
