The swanky $73 million building redevelopment won a gold and a silver award at the International Project Management Association's annual Integrating Sustainability into Project Management awards.
Delivered by Court Services Victoria, the multi-level modern masterpiece won a gold award in the Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure category and silver in the Social Regional Development and Community Service category.
Held in Mexico, the global awards support individuals, projects and organisations that have achieved exemplary results in project management.
Project management company Ontoit accepted the award for its role in delivering the management services required for the contemporary build.
The five-storey building includes six main courtrooms, a welcoming lobby inspired by the river red gum tree and a base founded on brick to represent older country courthouses.
