Victoria Police Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a fatal collision on the Hume Hwy at Locksley, between Avenel and Euroa.
Police say the 14-year-old female driver of a grey Holden Captiva wagon was travelling along the Hume when the vehicle collided with a truck, near Alexandersons Rd about 8.30am on Wednesday, June 28.
The front female passenger of the car died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was flown to hospital under police guard.
A male passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
The 45-year-old truck driver from Tabilk was not injured and is assisting police with their inquiries.
Police attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
