The prime minister will fly to the Asian city state on Thursday and deliver a keynote speech at the Shangri-La Dialogue, where the state of the Indo-Pacific region will feature.
The two-day visit will include bilateral talks with Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Mr Albanese said the talks would focus on the Singapore-Australia Green Economy Agreement, along with trade and defence.
"Australia is committed to expanding and deepening ties with our partners in southeast Asia to address shared challenges and ambitions," he said.
"I look forward to the annual leaders' meeting in Singapore, where Prime Minister Lee and I will discuss the broad range of work under way as part of our comprehensive strategic partnership."
The prime minister will then travel to Vietnam for two days, marking 50 years of diplomatic relations with Australia.
Meetings will take place with senior Vietnamese leaders, focusing on promoting Australian business and education.
"My first official visit to Vietnam is an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and agree on new areas of economic, trade and other cooperation to deliver a stronger relationship into the future," Mr Albanese said.
Vietnam has one of the fastest growing economies in the region, driven by manufacturing, foreign direct investment and increasingly strong domestic demand.Â
