Not guilty pleas were entered on six other charges he was already facing - two of intentionally choking a person, three of common assault, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm - when he appeared by video-link in Sydney's Central Local Court on Friday.
Those charges stem from an incident on January 25 when police allege O'Keefe grabbed a 38-year-old woman by her throat, pushed her to the ground, and punched and kicked her in his Sydney CBD unit.
But his lawyer has said he acted in self-defence after the woman turned up at his Kent Street apartment uninvited, and caused "substantial injuries" to O'Keefe during the fight.
He was in possession of 1.5 grams of cannabis when police arrested him at his unit two days later.
No plea has been entered on the new AVO breach charge and the 50-year-old former Deal or No Deal host remains in custody until his next court mention on February 25.
