Australian duo Royel Otis came in at number two with their cover of Murder on the Dancefloor, originally released by Sophie Ellis-Bextor in 2001.
Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish, Messy from Lola Young and That's So True from Gracie Abrams rounded out the top five.
The top four songs each received enough votes to take out last year's count down while songs released in May polled the best.
Major international artists featured prominently, British singer Charli XCX and American pop star Billie Eilish featured with a record-breaking eight songs each.
Their efforts eclipse Australian artist G Flip who previously had the highest number with seven.
Pop dominated the top songs, with rap polling well closer to the 100 mark.
Taylor Swift was represented in the countdown for the first time, with G Flip's cover of Cruel summer coming in at number nine.
The last Australian to take out the top spot on the count down was Flume in 2022's poll with Say Nothing.
