Detectives are unsure if Lachlan Griffiths and Andrew Walsh knew each other directly, but believe the men moved in the same circles.
Mr Griffths, 35 was last seen alive in the Brisbane CBD in January before his mother reported him missing on Australia Day.
It's believed he was taken by car with other people to the Coopers Plains depot and his "last signs of life" were recorded about January 16 or 17.
Andrew Christopher Walsh was reported missing by family in the north Queensland town of Mossman in January, however detectives believe the 35-year-old was last seen alive in Logan last November.
Investigations point to him living in southeast Queensland prior to his disappearance.
The transport depot on Musgrave Road has had a crime scene established for several weeks, after a raid on February 14.
A boat and several vehicles have been subject to extensive forensic examination, and police believe the last known movements of both men are linked to the property.
"Whether they were kidnapped or attended on their own volition…is part of ongoing investigations," Acting Detective Inspector Chris Knight said on Monday.
Police are now appealing to anyone with information about the two men to come forward.
"We know that they were living and moving within the Logan district, South Brisbane and the Brisbane CBD area," Det Insp Knight said.
"Undoubtedly they were mixing within the same circles of people and they certainly frequented some of the same addresses."
On February 21, detectives charged a 40-year-old Tingalpa man with murder in relation to Mr Griffiths' disappearance
As police try to piece together what happened to both men, Det Insp Knight said it was hard to imagine how their families are feeling.
"When there's a degree of uncertainty, or they don't have answers, it's difficult for anyone to understand what they're going through," he said.
