These carefully curated tours will jet off in 2025, providing participants with exclusive access to industry-leading practices, breathtaking landscapes and cultural experiences.
Beef Australia CEO Simon Irwin said the inaugural study tour to the United States and CattleCon in 2023 proved there was an appetite for these kinds of tours.
“Our International Study Tour Program is designed to offer participants not just educational insights, but also the chance to network with industry leaders and peers from around the world,” he said.
“Structured around the 2025 Sommet de l’elevage and Canadian Western Agribition expositions, the ‘Essence of France’ and ‘The Best of Western Canada’ tours promise to deliver unforgettable experiences, combining professional development with the exploration of diverse agricultural landscapes and cultures.
“No matter what sector of the industry you are involved in, each of these tours will help you gain a new perspective on the beef industry, learn about new cutting-edge technologies and international trends, network and of course indulge in the respective country’s culture and beef culinary cuisine.”
The 14-day ‘Essence of France’ land-based tour starts on October 3, 2025.
Arriving in Paris, the tour will focus on the Sommet de l’Elevage, a major agriculture exhibition touted as the world’s number one sustainable livestock show.
The tour will also visit the Lanaud Centre for Limousin Genetics, attend a live cattle auction and spend time in one of France’s premier wine regions, the Burgundy region.
The 10-day ‘The Best of Western Canada’tour starts on November 18, 2025.
Arriving in Calgary, or ‘Cowtown’ as the locals call it, the tour kicks off with a visit to a beef processing facility at Olds Agricultural College before journeying through the Rocky Mountains, meeting Canadian producers at family run practices and wrapping up in Regina at the country’s largest livestock show, the Canadian Western Agribition.
Spaces for these tours are limited, and interested participants are encouraged to register early to secure their place.
