Now, we had to put some prerequisites in place to discover which GVL talents have the highest kicking efficiency in the league.

For starters, we narrowed it down to five games or more, which removed plenty of VFL talents who have starred in one-off games.

The next requirement was to have averaged 10 disposals or more per game.

And the results are in.

Non-surprisingly, defenders rule the top five best kicks in the competition.

Seymour key defender Tom Martin has a season average of 89 per cent efficiency by foot from 10 matches.

There is a gap between first and second with Mooroopna defender Lachie Devine boasting 83 per cent.

Devine has played nine games for the Cats in 2022.

Rochester's Jaycob Dingwall boasts an impressive 90 per cent record from five matches, however, he averages 9.6 disposals per match.

Mansfield star Jack Hutchins averages 12.1 kicks, 15.5 disposals and 82 per cent efficiency by foot.

If you go off most kicks per match, then Echuca defender Logan Prout can arguably lay claim to the best kick in the league.

Prout averages 15.4 kicks and 20.8 disposals for his 81 per cent kicking efficiency.

In terms of one-off appearances, Shepparton teenager Ned Byrne had a remarkable 100 per cent efficiency from eight kicks and six handballs.

Northern Bullants' Kuiy Jiath had a classy 88 per cent kicking efficiency from his 17 kicks in his one-off appearance for Tatura.
