The round-two Good Friday affair was an enthralling clash, one that saw Tatura escape with a nail-biting one-point triumph.

Thanks to GVL Data, we can glance back at the statistics from the match ahead of Saturday’s round-13 contest at Tatura Park.

Benalla held ascendency for majority of the clash, with the Bulldogs able to storm home with a four-goal-to-zip final quarter.

In the opening term, the Saints laid seven more tackles and chalked up four more clearances than Tatura as they booted six goals.

The hosts also managed 15 inside 50 deliveries, surprisingly a statistic they lost come the final siren.

Benalla could only manage 38 inside 50 entries for the match, compared to Tatura’s 51.

Classy mover Billy Cooper was one of Tatura’s standouts in the win.

Cooper collected 31 disposals, seven marks and nine rebound 50s, while James Bennett picked up 12 contested possessions and laid eight tackles for the Bulldogs.

Unfortunately, Bennett won’t be out there this time around after the gun onballer suffered a serious hand injury, which ruled him out for the season.

Tough midfielder Mitch Elliott was another to shine in the win with his 26 disposals, six clearances and seven tackles.

Versatile option Tom Sullivan collected 21 touches, four tackles and three inside 50s and tall-timber Chris Ryan plucked 10 marks, 17 hit outs and six inside 50s.
