Hosted at McEwen Reserve, students spent the day competing for their house in activities including the 100m sprint, long jump, vortex and shot put/bean bag toss.
Principal Steve Rogers said the main aim for the day was to have fun.
“It’s about participation and enjoying athletics,” he said.
Mr Rogers said students were divided into four house groups.
“We have Archer, which is red; Cowper, green; McLennan, yellow; and Morell, which is blue,” he said.
“They are the traditional school house names that were named after well-known people in the Mooroopna community.”
Depending on their performances on the day, some students will get the chance to compete at the inter-school level next term.
