Golfers will be impressed with by a unique event on the Victorian golfing calendar.
The women’s 36-hole, two-day event is held on the weekend of Saturday, May 31 and Sunday, June 1.
In line with Golf Australia’s Vision 2025, to significantly increase the participation rates the game is opened to everyone.
The men’s 54-hole event is set to be held over Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 of the King’s birthday long weekend.
With great excitement, the 2025 event will be featuring the Golf Australia — Victoria Order of Merit events in junior, senior and open divisions.
Players accumulate points over a number of tournaments for the prestigious trophy at the end of the season, claiming the Victorian Golfer of the Year.
In 2024, it was awarded to our Victorian par 3 winner and golfing hero Brett Kellow.
The generous support from sponsors helps the event run smoothly.
The major sponsor, Kyabram Club, will host social meals for both events and Parkland has also been fortunate to receive grants to support the event.
Even though this is a winter event, the field strength is among the best in the state, with past champions and competitors making it to professional status on the tour as well as emerging professionals over the years.
Steph Vogel, Zac Murray and Jasper Stubbs have all tested their short games at Parkland.
Peter Fraser Junior Golf Classic on Sunday, March 30
Open to all golfers 18 years and under, the Inaugural Peter Fraser Junior Golf Classic.
With a nine-hole section in the morning for younger golfers followed by an 18-hole event in the afternoon, there is something for all ability golfers with or without handicaps.
Juniors are welcome from any club, whether they are members or not, and with the par 3 course, it is a great opportunity for kids to play.
