Descendant of the Mescalero Apache Nation, Red Horse will captivate with his beautiful cultural dance, singing and drumming, storytelling and speaking of historic events of his people and traditions.
It’s an immersive experience from a man who has made Australia his home and is sharing his cultural identity.
“I want to be explaining the dances, what they mean, because of course, the stories are through the dance,” Red Horse said.
“And we respect being here on this land and we respect the Aboriginal spirits and Aboriginal people.
“It’s a sharing of the culture.”
One of the traditional Native American stories Red Horse will share is about the Little Turtle, who endeavours to learn how to fly with the help of his friends
Although Red Horse and his culture aren’t from Australia, he says many people are drawn to the wisdom he has to share on physical and emotional healing through spiritual wellbeing.
His wife Natalia is the creator and producer of all the intricate hand beading, feather and leather work which makes up Red Horse’s stunning traditional regalia.
Red Horse is bringing his performance to regional Victoria on Saturday, August 20 from 3pm to 5pm at Rich River Golf Club, Echuca-Moama.
