Goulburn Valley Grammar School presents Little Mermaid Jr
Join Goulburn Valley Grammar School’s middle year students as they present the classic, dulcet tunes of Under the Sea and Poor Unfortunate Souls in their production of the Little Mermaid Jr. The show will run on Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20, beginning at 7.30pm at Riverlinks Westside on Echuca Rd, Mooroopna. Wunghnu Miniature Railway
Chuck on the conductor’s hat and get strapped in for this weekend’s Wunghnu Miniature Railway hosted by Moira Miniature Rail Inc.
Travel 1.2km on a passenger-carrying miniature railway at Wungnhu Recreation Reserve, open from 10am to 2pm. Cost is $4 a ride, enclosed footwear is required and small children must be accompanied by a fare-paying adult. For more information, contact moiraminirail@outlook.com
Stepping confidently towards the future
In a workshop guided by facilitator Collette Caffrey, patrons can expect to work through a range of activities including setting new goals and helping move past baggage. Numurkah Lions Club market
Get yourself a bargain on cottage craft, produce and new and second-hand goods at the Numurkah Lions market. Open from 9am to 1pm, it will be held on the banks of the South Side of Broken Creek, Numurkah.
A night of stargazing
The Astronomical Society Victoria Shepparton branch is welcoming others to join for an evening under the stars, as attendees scan the skies with local experts and their new equipment. A nightscape photography presentation on how to best capture the night sky will also take place at the Ardmona Recreation Reserve. Running from 6.30pm to 8pm, light supper will be provided. Under-18s lawn bowls
Those aged five to 17 are encouraged to try their hand at lawn bowls at Shepparton Park Bowls Club from 3pm to 5pm. The Devils will teach the under-18s the ropes, no equipment is needed. Booking are required, call 0419 565 797.
This Girl Can
In partnership with VicHealth, Aquamoves is bringing back its women-only swimming sessions. Sessions are held on the first and third Sunday of each month, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at Aquamoves on Tom Collins Dve, Shepparton. Country music for charity

Round-robin tennis tournament

Goulburn Valley Pipes and Drums members desperately need experienced pipers and drummers to join the band. Members would also welcome people wishing to learn to play the bagpipes or side, tenor or bass drum.
