Eden Farm Festival
The Eden Farm Multicultural Festival is on in Numurkah this weekend.
Beginning on Friday and continuing on Saturday and Sunday, Eden Farm welcomes visitors to come and “feel the paddocks come alive”.
There will be spring flowers, a petting zoo, face painting, craft installations and many more activities to “soothe your soul”, and guests for the free event are encouraged to wear traditional dress for a chance to win prizes.

Orchid Spectacular
Goulburn Valley Orchid Club is holding its Orchid Spectacular on Saturday and Sunday at Kialla Paceway.
Hundreds of orchids will be on show, with growers vying for section prizes, as well as the title of Champion Orchid of the Show.
Two potting workshops will be held on each day, where people will be shown how to grow and divide orchids.
Entry is $5 for adults, with children free.
There is plenty of parking at the venue, and the event is catered for.
The Orchid Spectacular will be open from 9am to 4pm on Saturday and 10am to 3pm Sunday.
There will also be plant sales, with local and interstate growers attending.

The Great Global Greyhound Walk
The Great Global Greyhound Walk at Victoria Park Lake in Shepparton will start at 10am.
Those taking part are asked to meet at the big hill near the all-abilities playground at the back of the lake on Tom Collins Dve.
The walk, which started in Britain but has since spread throughout the world, is seen as a day to promote greyhounds as pets.
In Shepparton, owners and their dogs will walk a few laps around Victoria Park Lake to celebrate the day.
Grand final action
Goulburn Valley League football and netball action across nine grades will take centre stage at Deakin Reserve on Sunday.
From 8:30am on both the football oval and netball court, teams from Shepparton Swans, Mooroopna, Shepparton United, Seymour, Kyabram, Rochester, Euroa, Mansfield and Echuca will do battle for the first premierships since 2019.

Shepparton and District Tennis Association invites everyone for round-robin tennis on Saturdays. Players to sign up by 1.15pm for three sets of tennis at $2 per week.

Goulburn Valley Pipes and Drums members desperately need experienced pipers and drummers to join the band. Members would also welcome people wishing to learn to play the bagpipes or side, tenor or bass drum.

Over 60s Friendship Group (Shepparton and surroundings areas)
A friendly social group that meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Casablanca Restaurant, 125 High St, Shepparton for dinner at 6pm and to work out the coming months’ outings.

GV Woodworkers’ 30th Annual Woodworking Show
A woodshow will be happening on October 1 and 2 from 9.30am to 4pm at Shepparton Showgrounds. There will be demonstrations of wavy boards, resin pouring, whittling, box making, woodturning and so much more! There will be food vans and a free kids’ games area. Merchandise, furniture and toys produced by our gifted team will be on display and available for purchase. Tickets are available to purchase online or at the door.
