As part of Zoos Victoria’s newest activity, ‘Dinos at the Zoo’, five T-Rex models have landed in five locations: Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary, Kyabram Fauna Park and now Shepparton’s visitor centre.
Designed as a photo opportunity, the model is the perfect opportunity for an exciting photo that will spice up the Instagram feed or create an unforgettable childhood memory.
The model comfortably fits several children and adults, measures 1.5m wide, is over six metres long and 1.5m high and weighs a whopping 150kg.
Impressive, but nowhere close to a real T-Rex, which weighed up to 7000 kg.
There will be dinosaur-themed children’s activities and an endless choice of dinosaur plush toys for purchase.
The Greater Shepparton Visitor Centre is located on the ground floor of the Shepparton Art Museum building at 530 Wyndham St, Shepparton and is open daily from 9am to 5pm.
The T-Rex will be on display until June 24.
