Barmah Hotel owner Matt Gissing said the event, which was organised to raise money for friend and staff member Kelly Lundberg's fight against motor neurone disease, received massive support from the community.
“Everyone's generosity and support, it was more than we expected,” he said.
“Everyone had an amazing time and there was a lot of money raised.”
With fundraising efforts reaching $9500 on the night, Mr Gissing said further donations rolling in would boost the overall total.
“There is just under $3000 getting donated in the next day or two, so all up it's just under $12,500,” he said.
With the Lundbergs in attendance on the night, Mr Gissing said the whole family was blown away by the support.
“They really appreciated it and loved it,” he said.
“But at the same time, it was overwhelming.”
And perhaps the highlight of the night was several local personalities braving the wintry conditions to get dunked in the Ice Bucket Challenge.
“It was really cold, but everyone got behind it and they all did their bit to raise some money,” Mr Gissing said.
The funds raised will make a big dent in Lundberg's GoFundMe page, which aims to raise $60,000 for the mother-of-two after she was diagnosed with MND just weeks ago.
Friends and family will now look to another fundraiser in Nathalia next month.
“That will be another big family-fun day, with all the people from Nathalia, which is where they are from,” Mr Gissing said.
Mr Gissing thanked everyone involved in Friday night's event for their generosity and support.
