Giddy up to the Hunters Rural Shepparton Ag Horse Show this weekend for non-stop fun. With plenty of events featuring talented riders — three open rings, pony club, off-the-track classes and a royal show qualifier — there’s so much more to see than a one-trick pony.
When: October 13 and 14, starting at 8:30am

147th Annual Shepparton Show
Christmas comes early every year because the annual Shepparton Show is the gift that keeps giving. Families of all ages can enjoy the animals, arts and crafts, rides, trade stalls and plenty of free entertainment. Various food trucks will be on-site, offering a delicious assortment of cuisines.
When: 10am to 10pm on October 13 and 14

Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch
The Biggest Ever Blokes Lunch continues to live up to its name, with more than a thousand people expected to attend this year, meaning a greater spotlight on men’s health issues. This year, there’ll be a live auction, monster raffle, food, beer and wine. It will feature former NBA basketballer and Australian Boomer Chris Anstey and comedian Peter Helliar, with Des Dowling as emcee.

Daniher’s Drive — Comedy and Auction Gala
A FightMND event is coming to the region. GV Hotel is inviting attendees to enjoy a three-course dinner and beverage package. If your belly isn’t sore from lapping up the deliciousness, it will be from belly laughs when stand-up comedians Peter Helliar and Lizzy Hoo hit the stage for the night’s entertainment.

Northern Victoria Show Jumping Classic
Saddle up for the Equestrian Victoria-affiliated show jumping competition’s main event of the year. There’ll be no holding back these horses and their riders as they prance and leap through the course.

Rotary SAFE Families Inclusive Communities Initiative
Find out how the Rotary SAFE Families Inclusive Communities Initiative can help you. Reaching out to many cultures in Australia, especially when English is their second language, the initiative promotes the prevention of all forms of abuse to all. Attending the event will be representatives from the Ethnic Council Shepparton and District, African House and Rotary District 9790 District Governor, and the six Rotary Clubs in the Shepparton area.
When: Arrive at noon for a 12.30pm start, concluding at 2.30pm

Brewing for Change
The third Brewing for Change event is on this Saturday. Head to the Shepparton Brewery and see the musical stylings of Gravel Road. All funds raised will go towards a GoFundMe for Shepparton local Bella Ainsworth. Bella was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer just weeks after giving birth to her first baby, Saf.

Regional Pole Artistry Championships 2023
The best up-and-coming pole dancers from across Victoria are competing at the Regional Pole Artistry Championships in Shepparton. The event ranges from juniors to elites, and all profits will be donated to The Rockit Foundation, a not-for-profit that advocates for those with mental health concerns.

Book Launch — One Hell at a Time
