One of the most highly anticipated events in Greater Shepparton’s arts calendar has returned! Illuminate festival will once again harness the senses in a mesmerising display of laser lights, musical performances and flavoursome food. Taking over Victoria Park Lake over two massive nights, this festival is not one to miss! Friday’s event runs from 6pm to 10pm, while Saturday begins at the earlier time of 5pm.

SATURDAY
Tatura Monster Garage Sale
The biggest and best garage sale is hitting Tatura this Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Tatura Monster Garage Sale returns with more than 40 garages in which to browse for a bargain. As usual, $2 maps will be sold at the Tatura Community House on the day. The maps include a list of all registered garages and their address, and items on sale. Plus, coffee and a barbecue are available.

Detox Your Home
Spring cleaning has come early this year, as Greater Shepparton residents have the opportunity to dispose of their everyday household chemicals. Take your weedkiller, pesticides, cleaning chemicals, cosmetics and cooking oil to the Shepparton Resource Recovery Centre from 9am to noon, and make your home safer while protecting the environment.

Murchison Men’s Shed official opening
Murchison Men’s Shed has a lot to celebrate on Saturday, with its 10-year anniversary and the official opening of its newest shed. At 11am, all are invited to join in marking the special occasion, as members receive the keys to the castle, unveil the new building and everyone enjoys a light lunch.

Numurkah Baala Creek Bites and Brews Festival
Louis Hamon Park is set to come alive at 11.30am for the Numurkah Baala Creek Bites and Brews Festival. Come one, come all and see all the town of Numurkah and its surrounds have to offer. The family fun day features live music, food and entertainment aplenty. Plus, fireworks erupt at 7.30pm to conclude the enjoyable affair.

Somewhere Beyond The Sea — Nathalia Choir
Be transported to far-off shores from the humble town of Nathalia, with Nathalia and District Community Choir’s celebration of marine-inspired songs. From shanties to Bobby Darin, attendees will hear a sea of tunes, featuring special guests Marie Martin, Austin Lancaster and Broken Creek Band. Both performances, Saturday 7.30pm and Sunday 2pm, provide complimentary light refreshments.

Shepparton Pacing for Pink race meeting
Shepparton Harness Racing Club will be tickled pink on Sunday in support of McGrath Foundation’s breast care nurses. The annual Pacing for Pink fundraising event kicks off at 11am with an abundance of family-friendly entertainment — free face-painting and jumping castle, live music, pony trots, raffles, silent auction and more!

High Tea at the Woolshed
According to Soroptimist International of Shepparton, there’s nothing better than a spot of tea in the cosy atmosphere of the Woolshed. Colbinabbin Silo Art Picnic and Wine Festival
Arts and dining collide this Sunday at 11am under the spectacular Colbinabbin silos. Attention ladies! Aquamoves is once again partnering with VicHealth in its ‘This Girl Can — Victoria’ campaign for Women Only Swimming. From 5.30pm to 8.30pm, the session gives women the opportunity to get active and overcome feelings of judgment.
