Being a Kialla resident, I’ve been putting up with it for about the last three/four months, and we’ve only got a small 80-litre bin, which is full and stinks each time it goes out every fortnight.
My green bin goes out half-empty if I put it out every week. Fortnightly was fine.
Dolton Dowell
You don’t want to have kids because they fill up a bin real quick.
I think it’s a bit hard on some families. We’ve got young kids, so nappies and stuff like that - they fill up a bin real quick.
So trying to make it (the bin) last two weeks is a struggle. And we’ve heard the same thing from a lot of people. I don’t think anyone is a fan.
I think the red bin needs to be weekly.

We don't need the change. And the glass bin that they're bringing in is also ridiculous.
Over summer, I'll go close to filling my green bin, but during winter, I can get away with it for three weeks.
We've got a small 80-litre red bin. It suits us just fine if it goes out once a week. To go fortnightly, we'd probably need to get a bigger bin at more cost.
Just leave it as it is.
We also don't need this glass bin - we'll be asleep and we'll hear people going through our bins getting glass out.
Ken McGregor
I don't know why the council's changing it. It was fine. I reckon they should leave them. Definitely, they should leave them.
The people with the little red bins, once they get full, what are they going to do?
I think they're going to end up going out on the road dumping their rubbish or dumping out the front of the tip.
My green bin only needs to go out once a fortnight.
