Shepparton Brass and Wind is a musical ensemble rooted in the community, known for its performances at various local festivals and events.
The talented musicians who make up the band are prepared for their much-anticipated annual concert following three years of disruptions.
Shepparton Brass and Wind committee member and musician Leona Gibbs said the annual concert was highly anticipated by its members.
“The band are really looking forward to the concert as it’s our first annual concert at Eastbank since COVID-19 and the floods had cancelled things the last three years,” Ms Gibbs said.
“Audiences will really enjoy the varied solo items, including a flute solo and vocal number.
“We also have a special guest narrator and violinist joining us for the song The Devil Went Down to Georgia, which is something different for us.”
Riverlinks acting manager Hannah Shelton said she was excited to work with the talented locals again.
“Their [the band’s] musical prowess and dedication to our community have always been commendable,” she said.
“This annual concert is not just a musical performance; it’s an embodiment of the spirit of our community.”
