Goodstart Early Learning Centre in Euroa has been awarded up to $200,000 to upgrade its amenities, enhancing safety, accessibility and inclusivity for children and educators.
“Every child deserves to actively participate at kindergarten, no matter their ability – these grants will make sure kinders have the inclusive facilities and equipment they need to support all children to grow, learn and play,” Victorian Children Minister Lizzie Blandthorn said.
“We’re supporting the diverse needs of Victoria’s children by making hundreds of kindergartens safer, more engaging and inclusive, so all children can grow and thrive from the best start in life.”
An additional five services in the Goulburn Valley will each receive up to $10,000 to invest in moveable and accessible equipment, such as mobility tools, adjustable furniture, and sensory resources.
The recipients are:
• 54 Reasons Kindergarten, Mooroopna
• Tatura Children’s Centre
• Mooroopna Children and Families Centre
• Goodstart Early Learning, Seymour
• Kyabram Community and Learning Centre
“I’m proud to see services in the Goulburn Valley benefit from this vital funding, creating spaces where every child feels included and empowered to reach their full potential,” state Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.
The funding supports inclusive early learning projects that help children engage, develop skills and thrive.
Since 2020, the Building Blocks program has allocated over $235 million to improve early childhood services across Victoria as part of the state’s $14 billion Best Start, Best Life reforms, helping families save money and supporting parents and carers in returning to work or study.
