Greater Shepparton City Council has launched an Easter egg hunt across the region as part of its Home for the Holidays campaign.
Participants must solve daily clues posted at 8am on Shepparton and Goulburn Valley social media channels from April 5 to April 11.
The hunt involves finding seven eggs containing code words at secret locations throughout the region.
City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali expressed enthusiasm for the initiative.
“We invite residents staying home this holiday season, especially those hosting family and friends, to join the Easter hunt,” he said.
“Follow Shepp and GV socials, crack the clues, and go out and enjoy some of the wonderful locations and attractions available in the region.
“There are so many great experiences and fun family activities for our community to enjoy.
“Home for the Holidays is a fantastic campaign to encourage people to discover new things to do in their own town, consume local and activate the economy.”
Participants who collect all code words and submit them at sheppandgv.com.au/easterhunt by April 27 will have a chance to win Monopoly —Shepparton Edition.
The winner will be announced on Monday, April 28 via social media.
