As we commence what we know will be a wonderful year for Greater Shepparton Foundation and our community, we are excited to share with you more detail on our new ‘Forever Fund’, which will return value to our community for years to come.
The GSF Forever Fund will be a community asset, a fund that serves as a vital piece of community infrastructure — a money-multiplying resource designed to return funds to the community over time.
This investment is not just financial but also serves the future of Greater Shepparton, ensuring a thriving, independent community for generations to come.
Our goal is to create a sustainable funding stream that responds to community needs and also provides disaster relief in times of crisis.
The fund will be community directed, ensuring that decisions are guided by local knowledge and focused on making a lasting difference locally.
We know there are many people who want to see positive change and a better future, where nobody gets left behind.
We are striving for inclusive, interconnected communities where everybody has an equal opportunity to participate.
By truly listening, learning and activating local expertise, we are identifying ways to strengthen our community.
We are committed to our view that if we are led by community, we can deliver with community.
For more than 20 years, from our early days as the Goulburn Valley Community Fund to the Greater Shepparton Foundation of today, we have been entrusted by our community.
The six elements that enable us to do this are:

Whether you were the first people of the lands of the Yorta Yorta and Bangerang Country, your family farmed this land for generations, you have prospered from business and industry established in this community or you were drawn here, you can join us.
There are many people who want to see our community thrive, long into the future.

Via the GSF Forever Fund we are committed to being brokers of change and promoting smarter giving, so that every contribution builds resilience, self-sufficiency and a stronger future.
This year we will also continue our focus on our Major Projects, which are delivering for community.
- Our long-standing Lift Off Education Scholarships developed to help local people achieve their education aspirations.
- Our flagship Oral Language Intervention Program. OLI now in its sixth year, sees Oral Language Intervention delivered in all public primary schools in Mooroopna.
- The Greater Shepparton Health Child Co-Design, established in 2024 to explore the earliest possible intervention to connect our multicultural communities to our Maternal and Child Health system.
- The Margaret Attwood Trust Grant Round. An annual grant round to provide financial support to community projects that address an immediate or unmet need that aligns with the foundation’s vision.
The Greater Shepparton Foundation Forever Fund will return value to our community for years to come.
