On behalf of all of us at the Greater Shepparton Foundation, we would like to acknowledge and thank you for your support of our work in 2024.
Without the incredible assistance of you, our community, we wouldn’t be in the position we are, to step up and scale our impact with the announcement of the Greater Shepparton Foundation Forever Fund.
This bold initiative is designed to ‘future proof’ our community and strengthen our region. It’s a wonderful legacy we are together leaving for the community of Greater Shepparton for the future, and we want you, your family and your business to be part of this great story.
Born from conversations at the Philanthropic Summit held in May this year, the Forever Fund is a considered response to the understanding that our region needs greater sustained independent funding. Our community knows what is best for our community, and we can empower our existing support services and agencies to scale up their impact and drive transformative change.
We will have a lot more to say about the Forever Fund as we reach out to founding donors in the new year; however, in the meantime you can read more about how you can be a part of the impact, on our website at greatershepparton.foundation. Alternatively, please reach out to one of our board members or email us at info@greatershepparton.foundation to discuss your contribution.
Last week, we co-hosted a Christmas celebration with our office partners, the Committee for Greater Shepparton. Over 150 people joined us to enjoy the festive spirit and reflect on the year, the wonderful collaboration between our organisations and the shared commitment to enhancing our impact in the future.
It is now time for the GSF team to take a short break, a little recharge to ready us for a fabulous 2025! Our office will close on Friday, December 20 and will reopen on Monday, January 6.
This is our last column for the year and as we close out 2024, we want to extend our sincere thanks to the wonderful community and wish you all a happy and safe holiday period.
Until 2025.
Amanda McCulloch, GSF executive officer
