Where are you from?

Shepparton. I’ve lived here for 76 years.

What team do you play with?

Shepparton Park Bowls Club.

How long have you played bowls for?

Approximately 15 years.

Why do you like playing bowls?

Well, it’s very relaxing, you meet a lot of nice people, and that’s the most important thing. And I think it’s very important when you start to get to a certain age, rather than sit at home, you know just watching TV or reading the paper from front to back. So it gives you a longer lease on life.

How often do you play?

Twice a week at the moment. I used to be playing five (days) but I’ve got a bit of a crook knee so I rest it and just play Tuesdays and Saturdays and do a little bit of training.
