Shepparton Brewery is a special place to us as it’s conveniently located near both our home and business, and it adds tremendous value to our local culinary and hospitality scene.
Daina Winch and Matt Milsome, with their remarkable talent and dedication, have crafted exceptional spaces that truly celebrate the essence of local food and drink. Over the years, we’ve witnessed this lovely couple’s journey, from creating exquisite dishes to nurturing their family, all while infusing our region with a vibrant gastronomic and brewing energy that’s noteworthy.
Their journey began with Teller in Mooroopna, a charming establishment housed within an old bank building. Daina and Matt brought with them a fresh perspective, offering innovative culinary experiences like the remarkable degustation Sunday night meals and engaging cooking classes that were both informative and delightful.
We were particularly impressed by their ability to transform simple ingredients into extraordinary culinary delights. Their subsequent venture, Teller Collective, thrived under their leadership. Having moved on to other enterprises, this business has maintained its status as one of Shepparton’s premier dining destinations.
The Shepparton Brewery represents a brilliant fusion of warmth, industrial charm and a family-friendly atmosphere, all centred around a fully functional brewery.
Their marketing strategy, featuring deconstructed but iconic images that reflect and serve as a tribute to the facility and its craft, is nothing short of genius. Moreover, their emphasis on being a business created by locals for locals, with a strong focus on family-friendliness, adds to its appeal.
As for the food, it’s simply outstanding: abundant and perfectly suited for the brewery ambience. We opted for the snack and small plate options to share, and each dish was a delightful surprise.
Personally, I couldn’t get enough Korean chicken and eggplant chips with black garlic aioli, but Paul thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and the cauliflower with blue cheese sauce.
Our guest for the evening, Loretta, was equally impressed with every dish served.
