It’s been 40 years since Chicago last hit the stage in Shepparton — and the wait is finally over.
Shepparton Theatre Arts Group is bringing the satirical musical back this September. The bold new production, directed by Helen Janke, will revive one of Broadway’s most iconic shows.
“We’re so excited to bring Chicago back to Shepparton after four decades,” director Helen Janke said.
“This show is a celebration of theatre, dance, and storytelling — and we can’t wait to share it with the community.”
Whether you’re dreaming of the spotlight or more comfortable behind the curtain, STAG wants you.
An open information night is happening on Thursday, April 24 at 7pm at The Bakehouse Black Box Theatre on Wheeler St. It’s a chance to meet the creative team, hear their vision and find out how to get involved — on stage or off.
This call-out is for performers aged 18 and over, and you don’t need to be a STAG regular to show up. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a local production with big ambition, now’s your chance.
Because who wouldn’t want to be part of something this iconic?
