Last year, I received fantastic feedback and gained a lot of new readers, which was truly exciting. However, 2024 was not a good year for everyone. Unfortunately, I had several conversations with readers who had been scammed, and the combined losses from just the cases I heard about exceeded $100,000. And that’s only from the people who reached out to me.

That’s why my focus for 2025 is ‘The Year of Information’. This year, I want to make it all about awareness and sharing knowledge. Scams are evolving, and it’s time we start a real conversation about how to spot them, avoid them and protect ourselves. But I don’t want this to be a one-way discussion — I want to hear from you, the readers.

Let’s work together to expose scams, share experiences and empower each other with the knowledge to stay safe online. Let’s make 2025 the year of staying informed and staying protected.

We’re only just into the new year, and I’ve already come across new and creative tactics scammers and hackers are using to compromise accounts. It’s clear they’re constantly evolving, trying new methods to deceive and exploit. That means we need to be more vigilant than ever and stay ahead of the game.

Remember: Trust no-one. Verify everything.

I also plan to cover online safety for children, addressing the challenges and risks they face in the digital world. I’d love to hear from parents — if you have any questions or concerns, please email in, and I’ll make sure we get them answered.

I’ll also be discussing topics such as the social media ban for children under 16 and practical ways to keep kids safe online. Let’s work together to make the internet a safer place for the next generation!
