The Dockers entered Sunday's match already guaranteed a home elimination final following Richmond's loss to Hawthorn earlier in the day.
Fremantle were inaccurate, but they did enough to secure the 4.11 (35) to 3.3 (21) win against the Bulldogs.
Strom has been the competition's standout ruck all season.
If there was any doubt about whether she deserved All-Australian selection, she put it to bed on Sunday with 30 disposals, 30 hitouts, nine marks, seven tackles, eight clearances and 397 metres gained.
The only thing missing from her game was accuracy, with Strom returning 0.3.
Midfielder Aisling McCarthy is a strong chance to join Strom in the All-Australian squad after tallying 29 disposals and eight clearances in a dominant display.
The Dockers, who finished fifth with an 8-3 record, will host eighth-placed Essendon in an elimination final.
"It's awesome to be back in finals," Strom told Fox Sports.
"Hopefully we can get a big crowd.
"We played composed footy (today) when we needed to, with and against the breeze.
"We'll take that into next week and bring that fight."

The Bulldogs finished 12th with a 4-7 record.Â
Isabelle Pritchard led the way for the Bulldogs on Sunday with 20 disposals, seven clearances and 350m gained.
The inside 50m count read 25-7 in favour of Fremantle at half-time, but the Dockers led by just six points after spraying 2.7 compared to the Bulldogs' efficient 2.1.
Though struggling for field position in the first quarter despite the aid of the breeze, the Bulldogs made the most of their rare opportunities to kick two goals to nil.
It took something special for Fremantle to finally open their goal scoring account, with Laura Pugh's one-handed mark in the midfield helping set up a goal to Ebony Antonio.
Tunisha Kikoak added another to ensure Fremantle would go to halftime with the lead.Â
Both teams only managed one goal apiece in the third quarter, ensuring Fremantle would go into the last term with a five-point lead and kicking with the breeze.
With Strom imposing herself all over the ground, the Bulldogs were held scoreless in the final term as Fremantle cruised to victory.
Bulldogs Dominique Carruthers was helped off in the final term with blood covering her face after an accidental head knock.
