Star Geelong veteran Patrick Dangerfield has escaped suspension for his head-high elbow on St Kilda's Ryan Byrnes, freeing him for Saturday night's clash with the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.
Byrnes had just disposed of the ball when Dangerfield came across with an outstretched right arm in Geelong's shock seven-point loss to the Saints.
Dangerfield's elbow made glancing contact to he face of Byrnes, leading to a couple of St Kilda players to run in and remonstrate with the star Cat.
The striking offence was classified as careless conduct, low impact and high contact, leading to a $6250 fine.
Dangerfield can reduce the fine to $3750 with an early guilty plea.
Essendon's Mason Redman copped a fine for his rough conduct charge against Adelaide's Riley Thilthorpe.
A total of six players were fined for being involved in a melee during Port Adelaide's 72-point win over Richmond.
The Power's Jason Horne-Francis, Sam Powell-Pepper and Joe Richards were fined, while Tigers trio Nick Vlastuin, Benjamin Miller and Luke Trainor also copped a hit to the hip pocket.
