Western Sydney slumped to last on the table after a disastrous 3-1 loss to Central Coast on sunday consigned them to a fifth-straight winless match.
It was Abrahams's third game at the helm on an interim basis after former boss Robbie Hooker left his post due to personal reasons.
The Wanderers had won just one game in their opening nine matches before Hooker departed and appear destined for another season without making finals, 10 points adrift of sixth place Central Coast.
They have made finals once in their 12 seasons in the women's competition, falling painfully short in their last campaign by goal difference.
Abrahams, the technical youth director of the club's women's academy, was unable to shed light on his predecessor's departure but maintained the club was in good spirits despite a period of disruption.
"I hope he's doing okay but yeah, we worked closely together. We're all right with each other. He's very supportive," Abrahams told AAP.
"I've been at the club a long time and so I know how the club works.
"I've been working with the girls a lot, so it was pretty smooth and I feel like I've been welcomed by them.
"From the second I walked in, they've worked really hard, so I didn't need to ask them to do that."
Abrahams first guided the Wanderers to a stunning 4-4 draw against top-four team Melbourne Victory before feeling the sting of his first defeat following a comprehensive 3-0 loss to Wellington Phoenix in their mid-week fixture.
While not straying too far from the "game by game" cliche, Abrahams says their performance against Victory has left him confident the Wanderers are not a lost cause.
"(The draw) proved that we can do good things and we can hold a lot of possession and create a lot of chances," Abrahams said.
"We've lacked quality at times, but I can't fault the effort.
"I've tweaked a couple of things. We'll do a few different things in our build-up and probably get players forward a bit more to create more chances.
"I think that has been a problem for us in the past, trying to be a bit more offensive and create chances.
"We'll just keep going game by game. It's a bit of a cliche but there's things to build on with each of these games and there's lots of positives to take from it.
"The table will tell the truth at the end of the season."
